Purposes
CertiMark is the exclusive, not reproducible, individual,
numeric-reference seal to demonstrate authenticity and enhance
safety on all documents of official, legal and private relevance.
In attesting formal character, CertiMark protects original documents,
authentic copies transcripts, acknowledgements against falsification,
substitution, desktop forgery.
CertiMark is used both in private and professional sphere on
agreements, deals, contracts, letters, offers, purchase orders,
invoices, money orders, all negotiable documents, bills of landing,
air bills, consignment notes, warehouse receipts.
CertiMark is also employed on letters of reference, letters of
intent, powers of attorney, gifts, legacies, wills, membership cards,
diplomas, assessments, insurance policies, stated accounts vouchers,
balance sheets, stock certificates, bonds.
In the official use CertiMark thwarts forgery of identity documents,
passports, visas, immigration cards, licenses, certificates, acts,
deeds, treasury bills.
The identification of the original substrate is validly achieved
also by positioning the seal, when preferable, on the back of the
documents.
The seal protects documents also from type and handwritten
alterations on the original substrate, since such alterations can be
always ascertained through the comparison with the original exemplar,
marked with the identically numbered counterfoil, kept in the files.
The counterfeiting of documents is then frustrated.
CertiMark is also used on documents printed from electronic archives
to attribute formal evidence to definitively approved texts and
distinguish them from database working copies and elaborations.
